Eastern Star mourns the loss of Sis. Heather Dutcher


Surrounded by her loving family, Heather Elizabeth Dutcher, 54, passed away peacefully on April 7, 2019 at The Moncton Hospital, following a lengthy illness. Born in Moncton, she was the daughter of Shirley and the Late William (Bill) Dutcher. Heather is survived and will be dearly missed by her daughters Ashley (Jason) and Lily (Josh); son Joshua (Carrie); and step-daughter Kathleen (Chris); grandchildren Riley, Brady, Chevy, Blaire, Jordan and Rebecca; her Mother and sisters Brenda Barnes and Cheryl (Fred) Bouley; and brother Grant Dutcher; as well as many nieces, nephews, aunts and cousins.

A graduate of Moncton High School, she attended Oulton's Business College and began working with J.D. Irving, Ltd. in Moncton. Her strong work ethic was evident throughout her long and varied careers in Sydney, N.S., Saint John, Deer Island and Pennfield, N.B. She was a former member of Mount Royal United Church and the Order of the Eastern Star.

Heather cherished her children and grandchildren. She loved tole painting, animals, the outdoors and especially being near the water.

Arrangements in the care of the St. George Funeral Home (755-3533) 26 Portage Street, St. George NB. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 12-2 PM on Friday, April 12 followed immediately by a Celebration of Life service.

Due to allergies, family flowers only please. In lieu of flowers, donations, if desired, may be made to a local animal shelter, or a charity of the donor's choice.
