Sister Marjorie M. Morgan
Marjorie May Morgen (Goodrich)passed away at the Northumberland Hills Hospital, Cobourg, on Monday, July 30, 2018, age 92 years. She was the daughter of the late Frank Goodrich and the late Eva (Walker) and loving wife of Arthur “Art” Dorland and the late Harold James Morgan.
Sister Marjorie was predeceased by her sister Muriel Goodrich, her infant brother Lloyd Goodrich and her step-daughter Donna Dorland.
Dear mother of Katherine Morgan (John Watt), Bruce Morgan (Linda), and Anne Quigley (George). Step-mother of Karl Dorland (Barb), Margie Nelson (Dale), Dennis Dorland, Susie Dorland (Ian) and Sally Dorland (Kevin) and sadly missed by her many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. The family received friends at the Brighton Funeral Home, 130 Main Street, Brighton, ON where an O.E.S. service took place at 6.30 pm. Thursday, Aug 2nd. The funeral Service was held at Trinity St. Andrew’s United Church, Brighton on Friday Aug 3rd at 11 o’clock. Interment in the Carman Cemetery.
Sister Marjorie Morgan traveled to NB for many years, where she sold her Serenity Collection and made a donation to the current WGM's project each year. She is an Honourary member of the Grand Chapter of New Brunswick. She was well known here and many use her many booklets of poems, programs and homilies.There are countless many others in the Order who will remember receiving her guidance over the years.
As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the Harold J. Morgan Serenity Fund at Kingston General Hospital. Please keep Brother Art and family in our thoughts and prayers.
