Lorna Carolyn Connell

1932-2010                                     Image

Peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, at her residence, on July 14, 2010, Mrs. Lorna Carolyn (Greene) Connell, wife of Mr. Ernest D. Connell of Breadalbane NB. Born at Summerfield NB on September 1, 1932, she was a daughter of the late Enoch and Annie Greene. A loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister, in addition to her loving husband, Ernest, she is survived by one daughter, Deborah Ann Connell of Ottawa ON, three sons; Brian Douglas and Robert Ernest (Susan) both of Calgary AB and David Wayne (Kim) of Grand Bay-Westfield NB, two grandchildren; Justin Mignault of Ottawa ON and Jocelyn Sophia Connell of Grand Bay-Westfield NB, two brothers; Enoch Ronald (Jeannette) of Florenceville NB and Richard (Bess) of Mahone Bay NS, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins with special thanks to her niece, Kim and nephew, Dwight (Sandra) Greene

Lorna loved knitting, crocheting, bird watching and traveling, especially to Hawaii. She was an avid people person who enjoyed spending time with her many, many friends. She was a life long member of the Progressive Conservative Party of NB, Charlotte County Hospital Auxilliary and the OES Granite Chapter # 15 in St. George.

By Lorna’s request there will be no visitation or service. A gathering to share memories and stories will be held at her home on Saturday, July 24th, 2010, between Noon and 5pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements in the care of the St. George Funeral Home & Crematorium (755-3533) 26 Portage Street, St. George NB
